3U has conducted numerous tests over a 7 year period of submarine cables from all of the major manufacturers to determine their affinity for magnetization and subsequent tracking using a proprietary process developed in conjunction with one or our Customers.  This test program consisted of cable preparation, field tests, data analysis, and production of a final report.  On the basis of this test program, 3U has an ongoing in-house development program targeting new and better methods for locating and tracking submarine cables.
