3U Technologies was hired to provide marine expert services to support bidding and proposal activities as well as to support subsequent installation activities for an inter-island submarine cable system.  The 3U effort consisted of the following:

• Analysis of the Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation and evaluation of the owners requirements

• Attending bidder conferences with and formulating questions for the customer regarding clarifications of the bid documentation

• Identifying methodology and processes for conducting the required tasks in the RFP.

• Writing tender documentation such as RFP & SOW,

• Vendor/sub-con identification and contact to ascertain availability and capability to bid.

• Assisting with the preparation of the customer’s proposal

• Assistance with presentation documentation for tender submittal.

• Presentation to the Client of marine portion of tender. 

Subsequent to the proposal effort 3U’s Customer was awarded the installation contract and have continued to utilize 3U services to provide quality control support during project execution.  In this role, 3U observes the actions of the Customer’s major subcontractors and reports their compliance and/or non-compliance back to the Customer.
